The cost of the CBAP exam varies based on IIBA membership status. The application fee is $145 for all candidates. The exam fee is $350 for IIBA members and $505 for non-members. Exam fees for certifications vary by country and also influenced by local taxes and currency exchange rates. Therefore, the final certification fee will be displayed once you add the exam to your cart on IIBA website.

The CBAP exam is 3.5 hours (210 minutes) long.

The CBAP exam consists of 120 multiple-choice questions.

IIBA does not officially publish the exact passing score for the CBAP exam. However, based on reports, it is estimated to be around 70%.

The CBAP exam can be taken online via a remote proctored format or at a PSI test center. You can take it online from home via PSI Secure Browser.

To be eligible for the CBAP certification, candidates must meet several requirements: a minimum of 7,500 hours of business analysis work experience in the last 10 years, with at least 3,600 of those hours across 4 of the 6 BABOK® Guide Knowledge Areas (minimum 900 hours in each of the 4 areas); a minimum of 35 hours of professional development in the last 4 years; provide two references; agree to the IIBA Code of Conduct and Terms and Conditions; and pass the exam.

The CBAP exam questions are based on the BABOK® Guide and cover the six knowledge areas: Business Analysis Planning and Monitoring (14%), Elicitation and Collaboration (12%), Requirements Life Cycle Management (15%), Strategy Analysis (15%), Requirements Analysis and Design Definition (30%), and Solution Evaluation (14%).

The CBAP certification is valid for three years from the date of passing the exam.
